The WAB1 app provides a simple interface for communicating with the Symmetry Electronics WAB1 kit. This kit demonstrates communication between the Silicon Labs Bluetooth Smart and Telit Cellular modules. The WAB1 app is used to display info and control the application via Bluetooth. Using Bluetooth Smart, the WAB1 app communicates with the WAB1 kit and estimates the range between the user’s phone and the WAB1 kit through the strength of the Bluetooth signal. When the user’s phone goes beyond a certain range, an SMS message is sent to a defined cellphone number.
